Acme-Delco Elementary School is committed to providing a quality education for our students in a safe and nurturing learning environment. This is accomplished through a close partnership among teachers, parents, students, administration, and community who share a vision for the successful future of our children.
There are many ways that parent and community can be a part of this success.
1. Encourage the children to do their best and ask them each day how you can help.
2. Show the children that you believe school is important. When our children are frequently late for school and checked our early, we are telling them that we do not believe that school is very important.
3. Support the teacher and other school personnel. If you have a concern, please direct it to the teacher or principal. Speaking negatively about school personnel has an adverse affect on the success of your child.
4. Help your child with homework but do not do the homework for them. Homework is given to reinforce the skill that was taught in the classroom. Practice in homework prepares your child to go to the next level in the classroom. If you have concerns about homework, please see the teacher.
5. Help us to enforce good conduct at school. Disruptive behavior penalizes everyone and robs your child of a good education. Please work with the school as we attempt to maintain a climate of learning.
We must be vigilant in our efforts to grow healthy, learned children who are prepared for success. It will take all of us working together as a team and the growing process may even be a little painful. That which comes too easy is often of little value.
