Career

CCCA offers certification in Broadcast/Communications, Culinary Arts, Metalworking, Green Construction, and Interior Design. Students can graduate from high school with certification which will allow them to enter the industry or further their studies.

College

The new 3 R’s of education are Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships, and SEC is majoring in all three! Our students are involved in service learning, field trips, project-based learning, and job shadowing co-ops. Parents are Partners at CCCA, serving as volunteers and taking responsibility for decisions regarding their child’s future. In addition, each year we take our students to visit universities around NC so they can become familiar with transfer options. As of 2010, 100% of our graduates have gone on to four year universities and our average SAT score is 1661, almost 200 points higher than the state average! Also, as a group, our students score as well or better than the traditional SCC students in their college classes.

Academy

Although CCCA does not have an athletic program or JROTC, students do take a variety of college P.E. courses such as lifetime sports, weight training, yoga, softball, and even golf, archery, or bowling!

In addition, we have many clubs and school activities such as dances and overnight field trips. Finally, our students can study music (voice piano, guitar, woodwinds, strings, community band, and choir) with college professors at nearly no cost!
