Logging On to Microsoft FrontPage

To begin, one must log on to Microsoft FrontPage, hereinafter referred to as MSFP.  You may do this in two ways: 1) Launching MSFP from your "Programs" menu; 2) Lauching MSFP from your Internet browser toolbar.  The diagrams below better elaborate upon these methods.  Please follow along!

The first way to log on to MSFP is to launch the software from your "Programs" menu.  To do this, you must click on "Start."  The "Start Menu" will appear.  When this appears, you will then click on "All Programs," and then select MSFP from the listing of programs on the computer.  After you do this, then you will be ready to log on to MSFP.

The second way log on to MSFP is to launch the software from your web browser (i.e., Internet Explorer).  In order to do this, you must visit the webpage you are wanting to update--in this case, your classroom webpage.  You will then click on "File" on the toolbar across the top portion of your screen.  A drop down menu will appear, and you will see "Edit with Microsoft FrontPage" as a selectable command.  Click on this, and the web browser will automatically launch MSFP, and prompt you to enter your domain's username and password in order to authenticate that you have access to be able to edit the webpage.  *Note:  Due to the fact that MSFP is a Microsoft software program, you may only launch MSFP from the web browser Internet Explorer.  It will not function in Netscape or Mozilla.
