Each fire department within Columbus County has been supplied with an allotment of these smoke detectors for installation in homes across their respective districts.
We encourage all families throughout the county to take advantage of this free smoke detector check and installation program. This initiative ensures that every home has properly functioning and up-to-date smoke detectors. If any detectors are found to be outdated, missing, or not working, new ones will be installed free of charge.

A special thank you to our amazing principals from the Board.

Thank you to Ms. Lisa Blackman and Ms. Clara Beck for volunteering to help with Picture Day last week. Our community volunteers are an integral part of our school’s success. Please contact Mrs. Hooks at (910) 642-8301 if you would like to become a board approved school volunteer.
This week….
On Monday, September 29th, our Mustangs are scheduled to play soccer at Clarkton Middle School. We will notify you about weather updates and rescheduling as we receive them.
On Tuesday, September 30th, our Mustangs are scheduled to play the Aggies at Nakina with the 8th grade recognition scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Due to the projected weather, this game will probably be rescheduled but we will let you know.
Thursday, October 2nd, is School Custodian Appreciation Day. Please join us in showing Mr. Baldwin how much he is appreciated. Also on Thursday, we will induct new members into the Elementary and Jr. Beta Club at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. Inductees and members should have received a letter with information regarding the event. Please contact Mrs. Nobles or Ms. Nelson if you have any questions.
On Friday, October 3rd we will begin our “Mustang Fast Break”. Students who have met our weekly iReady goals (80% proficiency on at least two lessons) and met our weekly Mustang Excellence Expectations (no bus or office referrals) may participate. Students will also be able to purchase snacks during that time.
We appreciate your support as we continue to help students grow and achieve excellence and mastery in learning and life. Please don’t hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions. We hope you have a wonderful week!
