Good Afternoon and welcome back to a FULL 29 Days at HAES. As we begin the last few weeks of school, we want to remain focused on our goal which is student success. Students are highly encouraged to remain in school and be on time as we are trying desperately to protect as much instructional time as possible. Please consider changing appointments to after school hours if possible to ensure that students are present for the reviewing that is taking place. This week we are extremely busy. *Monday we have Muffins with Moms *Tuesday we have Donuts with Dads *Wednesday we have Pastries with Grandparents *Thursday we have Breakfast Bars with Buddies We kindly ask that all adults go to the their child's class first and check in with the teacher before heading to the cafeteria. We will have some items for sale for breakfast or adults you may bring your own. Afterwards, we encourage all to attend the Bookfair in the library. Please be patient as we usually have a large turnout at this event. We do kindly ask that all leave campus by 9am to ensure that our full instructional day can begin. Friday, May 2nd is our 2nd Annual Guardian Gala. We are so excited to invite all to have a wonderful evening under the Stars. We will begin to pass out by Wednesday. We will sell tickets all the way to Friday midday. The doors open at 5pm and lasts until 8pm. All minors must have an adult to attend. We will have food, drinks, and snacks for sale. Cash only please. Again this was very popular last year and we expect just as much fun this year. Please be patient with parking as we have a large turnout. Looking a head: Next week our Dibels Testing will begin in K-4th Grade. We will have Science Check-In for 5th Grade on Tuesday i Ready Diagnostic Testing will be Wednesday-Friday next week from 8am-10am daily. In addition, next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please consider sending a kind note to your child's teacher as they have work very hard throughout the year. Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

Mrs. Shevonda Mitchell is the heart of Hallsboro-Artesia Elementary School (HAES). As our secretary, bookkeeper, and overall “chaos coordinator,” she wears many hats and excels in each one. From caterpillars to butterflies!
