2️⃣ 🍬 Candyman Fundraiser
Our Candyman fundraiser is still going strong — just one more week!
This is our only school-wide fall fundraiser, and your support helps us fund spring events and student activities. Thank you for helping our Panthers shine! 🌟
3️⃣ 🎉 PowWow School Day – This Friday!
Students who are riding the bus to the PowWow must have their permission slip and payment turned in before Friday.
4️⃣ 🚸 Transportation Reminder
All transportation changes must be in writing to the office before 2:00 PM. No phone calls or teacher messages — this keeps every student safe. ❤️
5️⃣ 🎶 Perfect Attendance Competition!
We’ve started a friendly school-wide challenge! Each class has a jukebox in the hallway. When their class has perfect attendance, they earn a “record.” 🎵
Once their jukebox fills up, they’ll earn a reward like a popcorn or pizza party! 🍕 Let’s see which class fills theirs first!

Monday, October 13, is a Teacher Conference Day for all schools.
There will be no school for students on this day (CCCA will operate on a regular schedule).
Teachers will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for in-person or virtual conferences.

Columbus County Schools is closely monitoring the weather forecast for next week. At this time, we will be operating on a regular schedule. However, the forecast remains extremely complex and may require us to adjust school schedules quickly if conditions change.

The Columbus County Schools Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) invites parents of children with disabilities to join a monthly group designed to provide support, answer questions, and plan special events. Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at CCS Central Services, located at 2586 James B. White Highway North in Whiteville, North Carolina. Special Education educators will be present to answer your questions and provide guidance.
The first meeting will be September 30th.

Hello Panther Families! Here are your updates for the week:
1️⃣ Labor Day Holiday – No school on Monday, Sept. 1st. We’ll see everyone back on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at regular time.
2️⃣ 6th Grade Soccer Tryouts – Tuesday, Sept. 2nd at ECJSH. Students must have a completed physical before trying out. A bus will be available, but please send a signed note if your child will attend. ⚽️
3️⃣ 3rd Grade Beginning-of-Grade Test – Thursday, Sept. 4th. This is a state test, so please make sure all 3rd graders arrive on time. ✏️
4️⃣ Kidsight Vision Screenings – Coming Sept. 25th! Thanks to the Lions Club of Lake Waccamaw, students can receive a free eye exam on campus. Consent forms will go home this week—return them if you’d like your child to participate. 👓
