We want to remind you that Monday, October 14, is Parent-Teacher Conference Day. This is a great chance for you to meet with your child’s teacher and talk about how your child is doing in school.
There will be no school for students on this day, so we can focus on these important meetings.
Conferences will be held from 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM, so you can pick a time that works best for you. You can choose to meet in person or online, whichever is easier for you.
During the conference, you will learn about your child’s strengths, areas where they can improve, and how we can work together to help them. To set up your conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

Good evening, Hallsboro-Artesia families! Here are a few important reminders for the upcoming week: • The Columbus County Agricultural Fair will be held October 8th-13th. Come out and enjoy the fun! • Our Book Blast is happening now and runs until October 13th. Treasure maps were sent home last week—please register your child so they can earn free books and exciting prizes! • Don’t forget, our Candyman fundraiser is also in full swing. Please support our school! • Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, October 14th. Your child’s teacher will be in contact soon to arrange a time. • Kona Ice will visit HAES on Tuesday, October 15th, so please remember to send money with your child for a treat. • Lastly, please remember that early checkouts are not allowed after 2 PM and that all transportation must be done in writing or by visiting the office.
