Good Evening Mustangs, Students in grades 5 & 8 will take the science EOG tomorrow and those that need makeups. All other students will continue to hone their mastery of skills in preparation for retesting next week. As a gentle reminder, students may not check out until all testing is complete in order to ensure a quiet and interruption free testing experience. Students that have taken the Math and Reading EOG will receive their scores tomorrow afternoon once testing is complete. Science scores will be shared on Monday. Our Mustangs should continue to be present, on time, well-rested and bring a charged chrome book. Our Mustangs are going to finish strong! Please call our office if you have any questions. Good Evening,
Our Marvelous Mustangs will show what they know on the NC ELA(Reading) EOG tomorrow morning. Please help us provide the best start for our students and make sure they are on time, well-rested, and bring a charged Chromebook. We want our Mustangs to take their time and not feel rushed or interrupted, To ensure the best possible testing environment, students may not be checked out until all students have completed the EOG and had a chance to eat lunch. If you plan to pick up your child, please call the office to make sure that testing has ended so you do not have to wait. We appreciate your understanding and support.
Go Mustangs!

Good Evening Mustangs,
This is Shelly Cullipher, Principal of Nakina Middle School with our weekly newsletter.
As we move into the week of May 18th, it is time for all Mustangs to “Finish Strong”. By leading with Focus, Effort, and Pride we can achieve the goals we have set for ourselves as a school community.
Our Goal: Reaching New Heights
Our primary focus is to increase proficiency (standards mastery) by 10% across all grade levels and subject areas, bringing our overall proficiency to 65%. This goal represents the hard work students and teachers have put in all year, and we are confident that by staying dedicated this week, we can reach this milestone together.
Inspirational Message
"Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together. Resilience is the bridge between where you are and where you want to be. Today's effort is tomorrow's achievement."

Week at a Glance: May 18th – May 22nd
This week is filled with opportunities to showcase our talents and our academic growth:
Tuesday, May 19: Join us for an evening of music at the Spring Band and Chorus Concert at SCHS, beginning at 7:00 PM.

Wednesday, May 20: There will be a School Improvement Team/Staff Meeting at 3:10 PM to continue our work toward excellence.

Friday, May 22: One of our most important academic milestones arrives with the Math EOG at 8:30 AM. Please ensure students arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to demonstrate their mastery of the standards.

Let’s stay focused and show everyone the power of Mustang Excellence as we head into this final stretch!
We appreciate your support and hope you make this week great!
