At TCS, 8th grade learned how mold and cast fossils are made by making a mold of various items in our classroom and then pouring silicon into the mold to simulate how a cast Fossil forms when sediment fills a void and hardens.

SCC CTE Mobile Lab visited the 8th grade class at TCS today.






TCS students attended Southern Farm Days located on the Boys and Girls Homes in Lake Waccamaw. Students saw lots of tractors, mostly antique ones. Ms. McKenzie pointed out a tractor like the one she drove as a child putting in tobacco. A lady demonstrated how she carved walking sticks.
Justin, Neveah, Peyton, and Mrs. Tabitha made a trap to catch a leprechaun on Monday, March 17.









Celebrate the Arts, North Carolina's Largest Student Arts Festival, will take place on Saturday, March 22nd from 4:30 PM-9:30 PM at South Columbus High School. The event is a partnership between Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City Schools, and features performances and artwork from over 1000 students. Admission is free.

Mrs. Sing and our incredible Tabor City School Cafeteria Staff wrapped up National School Breakfast Week with a bang! Each day, students received clues about Friday morning’s breakfast, building excitement all week long. Today was the BIG reveal—delicious strawberry parfaits! Our students absolutely loved them! A huge thank you to our cafeteria team for making breakfast both fun and nutritious!
