At TCS, students in Ms. Williamson’s 8th grade ELA class have read and annotated the text, “Abuela Invents the Zero.” Students were tasked to work through cooperative learning to draw out the plot and explain the events with textual evidence and provide other literary elements.

The library at TCS was busy during the month of October. The students read books for an October Reading Challenge followed by a Popcorn Party in the library with friends. Treat bags were also given to them for their accomplishments. The students also enjoyed several read a-louds including the book, The Good, the Bad and the Spooky by Jory John. The students created a Halloween costumes for the Bad Seed.

In observance of Veterans Day, all schools will be closed on Monday, November 11th. This important day gives us the opportunity to reflect on and honor the brave men and women who have served in our nation's military.
As we enjoy this day of remembrance, let’s take a moment to thank a veteran, learn about their stories, and reflect on the freedoms we hold dear thanks to their service.
