WCHS is currently without power. Therefore, student schedules and other services are temporarily unavailable. Once power is restored, normal operations will resume.
All staff members attended convocation today at East Columbus Jr.-Sr. High School. The day focused on initiating our new Learning Framework, developed by the Curriculum and Instruction Department. Superintendent Beck also shared his vision for the upcoming year. Additionally, we recognized our Principals and Teachers of the Year. Congratulations to Kristie Leinthall, Principal of the Year from Acme Delco Elementary, and Dr. Anthony Martin, Teacher of the Year from East Columbus Jr.-Sr. High. We extend our gratitude to the faculty and staff of East Columbus Jr.-Sr. High for their outstanding work in hosting the event. Special thanks to the following churches for their invaluable assistance:

This is West Columbus High School, calling with some reminders for this week. As we look forward to another great year at West Columbus High School, I ask that all students and parents review our Attendance and Personal Technology policies posted on our school Facebook page. On Thursday, August 22, our Freshman Orientation and Open House will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm, beginning in the WCHS Auditorium. On Thursday, our JV football team hosts Trask High School, with kickoff scheduled for 6 pm. On Friday, our Varsity Football team travels to Lake Norman Charter for our season opening contest, with kickoff scheduled for 6 pm. We are excited to begin another successful year at West Columbus High School and we thank you for your continued support. Have a great evening!

Will be celebrating their 10th year anniversary Back To School Drive !!!
They are inviting all Children to come pick up a free backpack, school supplies, and enjoy the festivities.
Live Music! Food Vendors ! And More!
This year will not be a drive thru, you will have to physically arrive to the actual site to pick up back pack and school supplies.
All Children MUST be present to receive school materials and back pack.

Tonight during the July Board Meeting, Mr. Jesse E. Beck was sworn in as Superintendent.
Exciting news! On Monday, Ana Reese Blake and Kennedy Strickland signed contracts and were awarded the NC Future Teachers Scholarship, setting them on the path to becoming educators in Columbus County. 🐏🧡
The event celebrated their hard work and dedication, marking the start of their promising careers in education with scholarships to UNC Pembroke. Congratulations Ana and Kennedy! 🎓🌟
