Mrs. Nobles' students enjoy navigating through stations which focus on a variety of skills. They are learning about Greek and Latin Roots. The reading passage had them citing textual evidence and working on activities from their New StudySync Reading Program.

Students in Ms. Bryant's ELA class at Nakina Middle School collaborate to read, discuss, analyze, and connect to the text.

Mr. Reaves' science students at Nakina Middle School collaborate to research, compare, and contrast the adhesion and cohesion of water.

Mrs Hinson’s 6th grade science classes at WTS did an experiment today using metal spoons, plastic spoons, and wooden pencils to see which one would be a better conductor of heat to melt butter.

Congratulations to our Lady Mustangs for being the Runners Up in the Nakina Invitational Volleyball Tournament and congratulations to East Columbus for winning 1st Place. We appreciate all the teams that participated and everyone that came out to support them. #nmsmustangs

Ms. Bryant’s 7th grade Language Arts students enjoyed presenting their poetry projects in today’s class.

Please take time to enjoy our winning 2024 Christmas Card submission, which was designed by sophomore Lia Specht, under the instruction of Ms. Sams. The design was painstakingly carved using a printmaking technique called linocut, in which a design is carved into a linoleum block and then transferred onto the final print surface. Out of several impressive creations, Lia's was chosen for this year's card design. Please congratulate Lia on the winning design and thank Ms. Sams for guiding her students through this creative process!

This amazing collection will help support 17 families right here in our community, with the remaining donations headed to Western NC to make an even bigger impact. A special congratulations to Mrs. Jackson’s 4th-grade class, who collected the most cans and earned a well-deserved pizza party! Thank you to everyone who contributed.
