Columbus County Schools will be closing today at 1pm for staff. CCCA will release today at 12PM for students. CCS will be virtual for staff and students on Wednesday, 8/7 and Thursday, 8/8. CCCA will be in remote instruction and staff will telework.

Due to the approaching storm, CCCA will dismiss students at 12 PM on Tuesday, August 6th.

The meeting for feedback regarding the New East End K-8 School on August 8th has been postponed. We will reschedule as soon as possible.

HEARTS Foundation the largest and longest running school drive in Columbus County Will be celebrating their 10th year anniversary Back To School Drive !!! They are inviting all Children to come pick up a free backpack, school supplies, and enjoy the festivities. Live Music! Food Vendors ! And More! This year will not be a drive thru, you will have to physically arrive to the actual site to pick up back pack and school supplies. All Children MUST be present to receive school materials and back pack. There will be no posted supply lists this year. Schools will provide all needed supplies. Students may wish to purchase items like notebooks, but required supplies will be given by the schools.

Congratulations to SCHS student Nyla Ward who was selected to attend Governor's School in the area of Drama. Nyla was selected from hundreds of applicants to attend the month-long program. Her teacher is Miranda Romans.
