TCS 8th grade students worked on their ELA review for their text of the week, “Phineas Gage.” Students were tasked to rotate through stations for the activity. One station was a major hit where students played a game of vocabulary review by playing spoons. There was a lot of laughs and friendly competition today!

On Thursday, 9/26, Columbus County Schools' Autism Support Team attended NC DPI's Fall Autism Support Team meeting in Lillington, NC. It was a valuable day of learning and planning. This is an energetic group of educators who share a common goal of providing evidence-based supports and services for each one of our students on the Autism Spectrum.

At TCS, a mad mathematician locked all of Ms. Tart’s classes in her classroom on Thursday. In order to escape, groups had to use their skills with quadrilaterals to solve math problems and critical thinking skills to figure out puzzles to retrieve the key to break out of the classroom. Luckily all students made it out just in time!
