Good Evening Hallsboro Artesia Panthers. This is Dr. Hill with your weekly update for the first week of November.
Please remember that our Battle of the Book’s Teams are collecting Canned Goods. Last year, we were able to raise quite a bit of canned goods for our needy families in the community. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause.
Report cards will go home on November 8th. Please make sure that you are on the lookout for these reports. Remember, the focus is always on growth and this is the first nine weeks. We will continue to watch as students progress throughout the year academically.
This week, we will have NC check-ins. These will be on November 5th and 6th with makeups being on November 13th and 14th.
Next Monday, we will not have school in observance for Veteran’s Day.
Makeup Pictures will be Wednesday November 13th. If you would like your child to participate in Makeup Pictures please let your child’s teacher know.
Did you know that….
The reminder app is the fastest, most convenient way to reach your child’s teacher! Please make sure that you are connected to the app!
We are working hard to ensure that students are in school as much as possible. Did you know that students who attend school regularly are more likely to graduate high school, attend college, and find good jobs? This includes early departures! Please make an effort to make sure your child remains in school daily.
Thank you to all of the students and parents that participated in Red Ribbon Week! We are coming into the Holiday Season which is always fun for students, staff, and families! Have a wonderful evening.

Don't forget, KONA ICE will be at HAES tomorrow! Be sure to send money with your student if they want a frozen treat.

Congratulations to HAES's final Treasure Chest winner - Gracelyn Babson. The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. It’s not too late to complete your Treasure Map, earn your prizes, and help your child’s teacher earn a shopping spree to purchase books and supplies for the classroom! When 60% of the classroom students register and invite 10+ friends and family members, that teacher will earn a $100 shopping spree. If ALL the classroom students invite 10+ friends and family members, the teacher will earn a $200 shopping spree. Remember KONA ICE will be at HAES Tuesday, October, 15th . Please send money with your child if they would like to buy a treat.

We want to remind you that Monday, October 14, is Parent-Teacher Conference Day. This is a great chance for you to meet with your child’s teacher and talk about how your child is doing in school.
There will be no school for students on this day, so we can focus on these important meetings.
Conferences will be held from 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM, so you can pick a time that works best for you. You can choose to meet in person or online, whichever is easier for you.
During the conference, you will learn about your child’s strengths, areas where they can improve, and how we can work together to help them. To set up your conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning!
