HAES Pumpkin Decorating Contest Winners are...

In observance of Veterans Day, all schools will be closed on Monday, November 11th. This important day gives us the opportunity to reflect on and honor the brave men and women who have served in our nation's military.
As we enjoy this day of remembrance, let’s take a moment to thank a veteran, learn about their stories, and reflect on the freedoms we hold dear thanks to their service.

HAES students Tarrell Antone and Kambri Cummings (4th grade, Mrs. Brinkley) both had poetry selected as winners for the Yam Festival.

HAES Panther Student of the Week for Oct. 28-Nov. 1 is Taylar Caudill, 6th grade. And our Employee of the Week is Mr. Willie Freeman.

Good Evening Hallsboro Artesia Panthers. This is Dr. Hill with your weekly update for the first week of November.
Please remember that our Battle of the Book’s Teams are collecting Canned Goods. Last year, we were able to raise quite a bit of canned goods for our needy families in the community. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause.
Report cards will go home on November 8th. Please make sure that you are on the lookout for these reports. Remember, the focus is always on growth and this is the first nine weeks. We will continue to watch as students progress throughout the year academically.
This week, we will have NC check-ins. These will be on November 5th and 6th with makeups being on November 13th and 14th.
Next Monday, we will not have school in observance for Veteran’s Day.
Makeup Pictures will be Wednesday November 13th. If you would like your child to participate in Makeup Pictures please let your child’s teacher know.
Did you know that….
The reminder app is the fastest, most convenient way to reach your child’s teacher! Please make sure that you are connected to the app!
We are working hard to ensure that students are in school as much as possible. Did you know that students who attend school regularly are more likely to graduate high school, attend college, and find good jobs? This includes early departures! Please make an effort to make sure your child remains in school daily.
Thank you to all of the students and parents that participated in Red Ribbon Week! We are coming into the Holiday Season which is always fun for students, staff, and families! Have a wonderful evening.
